Gateway
The primary function of SRC International HQ is to be a gateway that connects Homebase to those in the field. At least four times a year, we invite our field missionaries to virtual meetings with our supporters. Through these meetings, field workers share their needs and concerns with supporters, and the supporters pray for the field workers. SRC International HQ is also a gateway for fellow missionaries to connect. Every other month, SRC International HQ hosts virtual meetings for all our missionaries worldwide. In these meetings, we worship together, pray for each other, and exchange ideas.

Missiological Perspectives and Worldview Classes
SRC International HQ is also a station for biblical education, but it should not replace local churches’ teaching programs. SRC International seeks to focus on the missiological aspects of biblical teaching, such as “mission perspective” and “missiological world-view.”
So far, we have completed two courses.
First is Joseph’s lecture on John’s perspective on the mission, centered around Jesus’ incarnation. The eight weeks teachings became printed out in a book.
Second is Dr. Johann Kim’s lecture on Romans. Dr. Kim views Romans as Paul’s resume submitted to the Roman church to continue his missionary endeavor to Spain. His teaching originates from his book on Roman commentary.
To learn the Christian worldview, SRC International plans to offer a class on Revelation: missiological world-view.

Missionary Candidate Training
Any SRC International missionary candidates will complete an eight-week course on the book, The Last Discipleship: Love One Another by Joseph Kim. This book is a collection of Joseph’s eight lectures based on the Last Discourse in John 13-17. He writes that the central element of Jesus’ teaching in the Last Discourse is to serve others with love, which is also the essential task for any missionary.
In 2020 two families completed the course and now live in the mission field.
Mobilization
SRC International’s mobilization efforts have been from two fronts: Homeside and Fieldside. When there was no HQ, mobilization happened in the field. Joseph Kim met many missionary workers who were in desperate need of fellowship and spiritual care, and by providing the needs, SRC was able to bring in the members. Although the pandemic has slowed us down, this field-side mobilization of like-minded workers is happening in the field. THE New SE Asia field is growing from the grassroots in Asia.
However, now the stable HQ in the home-side gives new opportunities to mobilize workers to be sent to areas of needs and opportunities.
SRC International HQ cooperates with local churches to mobilize Christian workers toward the mission field. Local churches and SRC International work together to recruit and train missionary candidates. When candidates have completed the discernment and training process, they are accepted as full SRC International members and begin their journey on our team.
So far, we have collaborated with several local churches in Southern California. We would like to expand our partnership to other areas to help the churches send our missionaries to strategic and needed areas and ministries.

Field Experience
SRC International offers short-term missions. SRC International provides three levels of short-term mission programs.
The most basic level is a vision trip to mission fields. This program is for those who want to go to the mission field and learn more about God’s mission.
The second level is to observe and participate the missionary activities under the supervision of the field director.
The third level is to live in the mission field for 3month, 6month or a year. Anyone who considers a missionary career may find this program conducive.
